Sanitation
- Cleaning of Flower Stems
- Stems clogged with bacteria and debris, either visible or invisible, are harmful to the flowers.
There are many commercial stem-sanitizing dips and solutions available in the market. Make sure to use them properly according to instruction on the package.
- Use of Clean Floral Containers and Clean Tools
- Always use clean containers and tools
for the handling of flowers. Ensure that you have a separate clean cutter for handling flowers. Do not use the kitchen knife because it may contain bacteria that hurt the flowers.
- Do not use metal container
in order to prevent any chemical reaction between the metal, different water quality and preservatives used.
